Impact Armory & Service is a premier provider of firearm repair, maintenance, and restoration services. We are always looking for talented individuals to join our Staff. We seek individuals that are truly interested in our craft, and strive to provide the highest level of Customer Service. If this kind of environment is of interest to you, read on.....
All new additions to our Staff begins their career at Impact Armory & Service as an Apprentice. Even if you have years of experience, we need to put you to the test, and see if our environment is right for you. Impact Armory & Service is highly process-driven, and our Staff excels in performing at the same operational level.
Impact Armory & Service has a few requirements for consideration:
If you meet the requirements outlined above, then we are interested in hearing from you.
Click on the button below to get started.
1. I am an established Gunsmith with years of experience. Why do I need to submit all of this?
Answer: We do not know your level of skill, or anything about your current career path or level of experience. If the "Process" does not appeal to you, don't apply!
2. I have taken online Gunsmithing courses and have done really well. Do I really need to have an Associates Degree in Firearms Technology to be a gunsmith?
Answer: While Impact Armory & Service understands that education is expensive, we also look at education as an investment in ourselves (i.e., You). Online courses are useful for theory and nice videos, however they are not a substitute for hand-on experience obtained in a classroom environment. So yes, you will need an Associates Degree in Firearms Technology, or equivalent career-level experience doing this kind of work!
3. Why do I need to have an FBI Background Check, and be Fingerprinted?
Answer: The Firearms Industry is heavily regulated, and requires that you be at least 21 years of age, with no criminal record. The fact that we actually have to put this in an FAQ is interesting!
4. How long does an Apprenticeship last?
Answer: It depends on a number of factors: Your level of education/experience; Your ability to follow established service delivery processes; How well you integrate with the Staff; The quality of your work; Assessments by our Staff/Management. An apprenticeship can last a minimum of 3 Months to 2 Years (Maximum).
5. What if I do not have everything indicated in the "Professional/Educational Requirements" Above?
Answer: Don't apply for a position.
6. Can I perform my gunsmith services for your company from home (Work From Home)?
Answer: No.
